The history of the La Palma wineries in Alghero starts from afar, when time was marked by the seasons and the farmers had only the land and their talent. It is a story that tells of the ability to know how to trust each other, to build something without forgetting how much beauty is hidden in our surroundings: endless plains on the sea. One hundred farmers in 1959 decided to become members and found the Santa Maria la Palma winery. The cultivation dates back to the 11th century, when the Camaldolese monks began cultivation around the convents.
This wine is ruby red, velvety and slightly acidic flavor and aromas of blackberry and cherry which, with aging, show delicate spicy notes.
The aroma is intense, with red fruit jam, aromatic, fruity, vinous vegetable.
The dry flavor, with a slight acidity, savory, of good softness and discreet body, is combined with soups and dishes based on white and red meats.
Serving temperature: 18-20 ° C.
